인간이 창조한 자연물
갈릴레오는 '자연이라는 책이 수학의 언어로 쓰여있다.'고 생각했다.자연이 수학적 법칙 속에서 스스로를 다채롭게 만든 것 처럼, 나 역시 광물의 수학적 조합으로 자연의 색과 무늬를 유약에 표현하고자 했다.
'인간이 창조한 자연물'이라는 예술적 주제를 일상의 접시, 보울, 화병 등에 입힘으로써 자연이 그러하듯 예술도 삶의 당연한 일부분임을 전하려 한다.
Man-made Nature
Galileo believed, 'The Book of Nature is written in the language of mathematics.' Just as nature made itself colorful in the mathematical rules, I also tried to express nature's colors and patterns in the glaze with the mathematical combination of minerals.
By portraying the artistic theme of 'Man-made Nature' on everyday plates, bowls, and vases, I intended to deliver that art is a natural part of life like nature.
